AUSFIFA players at the Sydney FUT Regional Final

The stage is all set for the FUT Regional Final in Sydney this Saturday. 32 players will battle it out for the two spots up for grabs in the FIFA 17 Ultimate Team Championship to be held in Berlin later this year.

The top 32 players in the "Rest of World" region on FUT Champions have qualified for the Regional Final in Sydney. Among those 32 players are a few familiar names. Congratulations to the following AUSFIFA members who have qualified for the Sydney Regional Final:

PlayStation 4Xbox One

The Sydney Regional Final will be live streamed on the EA Sports Twitch channel from 9:00AM AEDT (Sydney time) on Saturday February 11th.

The 32 finalists will be split off into four groups of four players for each console. The top two finishers in each group will advance to the double elimination bracket for their console.

The winners of each console bracket will qualify for the FIFA 17 FUT Championship in Berlin, and will face off in a two legged final (one game on each console) to crown the winner of the entire event.

SoIarisSamurai has been a member of AUSFIFA for just over two years, but has only recently burst onto the scene due to the introduction of FUT Champions. After recently winning FUT Cup #3 on AUSFIFA with a 3-2 win in the final against Whatala_d, there's no doubt that SoIaris is one of Australia's best up and coming FIFA talents.

AUSFIFA Pro Clubs team The Empire will be watching with interest after two of their attacking midfielders booked their tickets to the final. The dynamic duo of Samer96_ and Sarge_Fifa only recently became involved on AUSFIFA, but Empire manager Gigi_Nesta was quick to pounce, securing them in his team's roster for Season 7 of the AVPL. Samer96_ has been touted by EA as one of the favourites on the PS4 side after placing first in the November Top 100 FUT Champions leaderboard.

Over on the Xbox side, OhNoAGoat and honurbly_airbrn are both players to watch according to EA, and we can't disagree. OhNoAGoat won the only competition he ever attended on AUSFIFA, and placed top in the November Top 100 leaderboard with a staggering 145 wins. With two AUSFIFA competition wins to his name, honurbly_airbrn has enough experience to be able to go all the way.

Muzza225 was widely regarded as one of Australia's best FIFA players a few years ago, but he's been inactive for quite some time. There's no doubt that he has the experience, but whether he can still mix it with the best in 2017 is a question that will need to be answered at the Sydney Regional Final.

Make sure to show your support for our boys by tuning in to the live stream from 9:00AM AEDT (Sydney time) on Saturday February 11th.

We will also be live-tweeting the event. Follow our AUSFIFA Twitter account to keep up to date.

AUSFIFA admins Juzzomac and ICYRX8 will be officiating the event in Sydney and will post photo and video updates direct from the venue, so be sure to like us on Facebook if you haven't already.

Good luck to all the AUSFIFA players in attendance!
